About the villa

Casa Vieja is our family villa in Port de Pollença, which we use throughout the year for beach holidays and road biking. We’ve been coming to this resort for over 30 years and have yet to be tempted away from this wonderful island.

We are delighted with our new family holiday home on this established estate of traditional villas and are looking forward to many more happy holidays here.

As our valued guests, we would like your stay to be as pleasant and relaxing as possible. If you have any questions, take a look at our FAQ or drop us a line.

We invite you to enjoy the the comforts of our villa for your next holiday.

A Closer Look

There are four double bedrooms (one with a large balcony), close to the Pine Walk and with beautiful views of the mountains.

There is a well-equipped kitchen with sliding doors in the dining room leading into the outdoor garden area. Terraces at the front and back of the villa can be used for barbeques, eating outside or sunbathing.

We have a high-specification hot-tub for 6 people. If you feel like a swim, the glistening Mediterranean sea is a short walk away. If you fancy a drink and some food too, you could also try the poolside bar and restaurant at the Laguna on Calle Faro, just around the corner.

A detailed equipment list can be found just below.

We try to make Casa Vieja as comfortable as possible for ourselves and our guests. The villa is equipped to a high standard with (almost) everything you could possibly need for your holiday. We often hear from guests that they felt at home the moment they passed through the door.

All equipment is regularly serviced for your comfort and convenience. Keys are held in a secure location on-site, ready for your arrival.

Should there be any problems during your stay, our courteous and professional local agents are on hand to help.

A note on accessibility

Unfortunately, the villa is not suitable for people with severe mobility problems due to steps leading to front terrace. However, if you are able to negotiate the steps at the front of the property there is one bedroom and a spacious bathroom with shower on the ground floor.

When to visit?

The villa is available for rent throughout the year from March to November. We maintain a calendar of current availability on Owners Direct, where you can also make a booking enquiry.

The weather in Mallorca is generally warm, bright and sunny. Rain and storms are mostly confined to the winter months. Being so close to the sea, there is usually a pleasant breeze in low-lying coastal areas.

The island is most popular with cyclists from mid-March to early May. However, it is usually possible to cycle on the island at any time of year. Be warned that extremes of temperature – hot and cold – can and do happen. Always check the weather forecast on your route and take the necessary precautions.

Book early, book often!

Early booking is generally encouraged, as the villa is in heavy demand during peak cycling season and school holidays. The early bird catches the worm, as they say!

Cycling on Mallorca

Our children are keen road cyclists and are always willing to help us to help you get the most out of your cycling time on the island.

Under their supervision and with input from some of our cycling guests, we have converted our double garage to accommodate up to 8 bikes. A comprehensive security system has been installed to protect your investment, so you can safely enjoy the local bars and restaurants without worry.

If you’re just getting started with cycling or just didn’t bring your bike(s) with you, there are plenty of local bike shops and facilities open throughout the year.

Looking for inspiration? Why not take a look at some of our favourite routes. We’ve also started a club on Strava for you to share your favourite routes and activities with other guests.

A weekly change of indoor towels and high grade linen is included in the price of your stay (at no extra charge). We also prepare a dedicated set of ready-to-use beach towels, so you can hit the beach the moment you arrive!

Every changeover day (typically a Saturday), the apartment is cleaned inside and out by a professional cleaning service. We ask that you respect the checkin/checkout times on changeover day to allow the staff sufficient time to carry out their work.

The accommodation is managed by a team of local people, who are available to assist you throughout your stay.
